Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking engineers for the Integrated Power Systems directorate to advance electric drive control components for the All Electric Navy. The role involves hardware/software design, embedded software development in C/C++, and system integration essential for Columbia Class propulsion projects.

Candidates should have a B.S./B.E. in engineering, 5+ years experience, and be eligible for DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• B.S. or B.E. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 or more years post-graduate engineering experience.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the U.S. DoD (candidates must be a U.S. citizen).
• Preferred: C, C++, and Assembly experience; exposure to Xilinx/Microsemi/Intel product lines; rapid prototyping via auto-code generation.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirement analysis, hardware/software design, software development and test, and hardware/software integration.
• Develop software in C, C++, Assembly, Python; embedded software experience.
• Document code and contribute to engineering/design reports for external stakeholders.
• Prepare for peer reviews by demonstrating proposed solutions to teammates.
