Job summary
Rockwell Automation is seeking a Project Engineer, Control Firmware, to develop and test embedded software for motor control. The role involves model-based coding in MATLAB/Simulink, verification across bench and hardware drives, and collaboration with a firmware team in a hybrid Mequon, WI setting.
The candidate will design motor control models, integrate with C/C++ modules, and contribute to requirements and reviews in an agile environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the US; visa sponsorship not provided.
- Experience embedded software development for motor drives or power converters is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design motor control models in MATLAB/Simulink.
- Develop features for various motor types (induction, PMSM).
- Interface model-based code with embedded software modules using C/C++.
- Simulate and test models on drives and motors; optimize for performance and memory.
- Participate in code reviews and requirements specifications; work in an agile/scrum team.
