Beast Industries in the Bay Area seeks a Staff Embedded Mobile & Product Security Engineer to join the Security team. You will be embedded with mobile and product squads to build security in from day one, not bolted on later, and own the end-to-end mobile security program.

Responsibilities include leading pen testing across mobile and web, threat modeling, secure-by-default patterns, and architecture that meets partner security requirements, while scaling security for a 100M+ user membership

Qualifications

• Embedded security engineer on a product or mobile team, coding and deploying fixes.
• Security for native iOS/Android apps; threat modeling and secure-by-default patterns.
• Experience running a pen testing program across mobile and web.
• Architect security controls meeting partner requirements for external deals.
• Experience with AI-native security considerations and on-device features.
• Ability to ship security improvements in a nimble startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Embed with mobile and product squads to threat-model and harden features before release.
• Own the mobile application security program end-to-end including SDLC and tooling.
• Own the broader product security program: API and backend security review.
• Run the pen testing program for mobile and web, and coordinate external engagements.
• Architect security controls and documentation to meet partner requirements.
• Set security baseline for AI-native stack and secure the paved road for scale.
• Write security playbooks, guardrails, and secure development standards.
