Beast Industries in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Staff Embedded InfoSec Engineer to be the foundational security hire on the Security team. You will be embedded with multiple product squads to ship secure features by design, owning the application security program, pen testing, and security architecture that meets partner requirements.

You will drive security in an AI-native environment, create playbooks and guardrails, and help scale security across a high-availability platform

Qualifications

• Embedded security engineer on a product team who writes code and ships fixes.
• AppSec program at consumer scale with millions of users; balance coverage, velocity, and risk.
• Hands-on pen testing experience and ability to shepherd fixes.
• Translate partner security frameworks (SOC 2, PCI) into real controls without theater.

Responsibilities

• Embed with product squads to threat-model, review, and harden features before they ship.
• Own the application security program end-to-end: secure SDLC, code review, dependencies, and tooling.
• Run the pen testing program and coordinate external engagements to fix findings.
• Architect security controls to meet partner requirements and enable timely deals.
• Define an AI-native security baseline covering AI features, prompts, and execution.
• Write standards and guardrails to keep security the easy path as the org scales.
