Job summary

Swirl DSP is seeking an experienced Embedded Linux Engineer to develop and maintain high-performance Linux solutions on Xilinx MPSoC platforms.

Responsibilities include customizing BSPs, preparing release packages, configuring the Linux kernel, U-Boot, and Device Tree, porting drivers, and building boot images across multiple hardware targets. You will also create automation to validate builds in CI/CD pipelines and maintain Yocto builds in CI/CD environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux (Yocto Project and Petalinux).
• Strong experience creating Linux distributions, boot images, and integrating kernel drivers.
• Proficiency in configuring and integrating the Linux kernel, U-Boot, and Device Tree.
• Experience with Linux device driver porting and applying patches.

Responsibilities

• Experience with Xilinx MPSoC / Zynq platforms
• Develop and customize Embedded Linux distributions using Yocto and Petalinux
• Customize Board Support Packages (BSP) and prepare release packages
• Configure, modify, and integrate the Linux kernel and embedded bootloaders
• Work with U-Boot, Linux kernel configuration, and Device Tree
• Build and integrate kernel drivers; analyze boot logs
• Port Linux device drivers and apply patches to legacy packages
• Create boot images and Linux images for multiple hardware platforms
• Design and implement automation to validate builds in CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain and support the Yocto build system in a CI/CD environment, including packaging and deployment of software images
