Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive embedded software experience
• Supported production at a contract manufacturer: deploying test updates, debugging line failures, reading yield data
• Ability to determine when a component change requires a software update and drive it through validation
• Hands-on bench debugging with standard lab tools
• Writes SOPs/runbooks as part of the job while working independently
• Embedded Linux on automotive SoCs; QNX or Android a plus
• Memory/partitioning: partitioning, device tree, boot flow for eMMC/UFS/SSD/DRAM changes
• Secure boot and signed-image flows
• Nice to have: Qualcomm, NXP i.MX or NVIDIA platforms; legacy codebase with thin docs

Responsibilities

• Sustain software for production automotive ECUs.
• Handle component changes (obsolete parts, memory swaps, second sources) that affect ECU software or manufacturing test.
• Take over existing codebases, implement changes, verify them, and document the process so it can run independently.
