Job summary

OMNTEC Mfg., Inc. is seeking a seasoned software engineer to design, develop, and maintain C/C++ applications on a Linux-based PROTEUS controller.

You will build connectivity with ATGs, gateways, and polling systems, and ensure robust TCP/IP, UDP/IP, and serial communications while collaborating with TankActive engineers. The role requires a strong background in Linux, multithreading, database design, and data validation, with on-site work in Ronkonkoma, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong C/C++ development on Linux with debugging, performance analysis, and memory/resource management.
• Deep understanding of Linux IPC, multithreading, synchronization, and concurrent data handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C/C++ applications and services on our Linux-based PROTEUS controller.
• Build and support connectivity and data acquisition between PROTEUS, third-party ATGs, gateways, polling systems, and TankActive platform.
