Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Software Engineer (C/C++) to join our Herndon, VA team on-site. You will develop both application and embedded software for sonar systems, focusing on Linux-based GUI and system control, with work spanning requirements, testing, and integration.

The role requires strong C/C++ skills, experience with embedded software, and the ability to work across hardware and software environments. A Secret clearance is a plus and on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years designing and implementing C/C++ software.
• Experience with Linux and embedded software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement C/C++ software on Linux and embedded RTOS.
• Develop software for sonar systems including verification and validation.
• Enhance existing software for operational test facilities.
• Perform configuration management and code reviews.
