Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Software Engineer to support development and sustainment of complex, mission-critical systems. This contract role is onsite in Moorestown, NJ, and involves full lifecycle software engineering including design, implementation, integration, testing, and analysis in a structured environment.

The candidate will design, develop, and maintain software for complex systems, perform modeling and analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with C++ or Java in Linux environments.
• Familiarity with CMMI or similar development processes.
• Experience with embedded software development.
• Familiarity with UML for system modeling.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, CppUnit, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software for complex systems with focus on performance and reliability.
• Perform system modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Develop software components such as system utilities, low-level programs, and OS-level functionality.
• Execute design, implementation, integration, and testing activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system requirements and performance.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Develop and execute unit tests; support regression testing.
• Support system integration and test activities.
