Job summary

The Toro Company in Perry, Oklahoma, invites applications for its 2027 Summer Internship Program. This paid internship runs May 17 to August 6, 2027, with opportunities to work on embedded hardware and software projects under guidance from engineers and product managers.

Interns will analyze data, develop prototypes, and document compliance and production processes. Applicants must be pursuing EE or CE degrees, with knowledge of C/C++, Python, SPI/I2C/CAN, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or graduate program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• If pursuing a bachelor’s degree, completed at least sophomore year (60+ credit hours).
• Understanding of embedded hardware/firmware for 8/16/32-bit MCUs using C/C++ is preferred.
• Experience with embedded Linux apps is a plus.
• Desktop apps in C# or Python a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze technical data from engineers, product managers, suppliers, docs, and tests.
• Develop, debug, validate, and enhance embedded hardware, software, and apps.
• Create and debug prototypes to validate specifications.
• Define measurement techniques and test fixtures for production use.
• Prepare comprehensive compliance and production documentation.
