Job summary

The Toro Company in Bloomington, Minnesota, invites motivated undergraduates to join its 2027 Summer Internship Program. You will work on embedded firmware development for electrification and autonomous projects, gaining hands-on experience across hardware and software.

Qualifications

Pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with an interest in embedded systems.
Experience developing embedded firmware for 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers in C/C++.
Knowledge of RTOS is a plus.
Familiarity with hardware-software integration and communication protocols is helpful.

Responsibilities

Develop, debug, and enhance embedded firmware for electrification and autonomous projects.
Collaborate with engineers to design and implement electronics and firmware solutions.
Assist in interfacing hardware and software and solving integration challenges.
Test and validate embedded software to ensure quality and performance.
Contribute to hardware/firmware design and validation documentation.
