Job summary

Vanteon is seeking Engineering Coops to assist our hardware, embedded software, and FPGA teams in Pittsford, NY. You will contribute to IRAD developments, including the vProtean SDR platform, under mentor guidance.

You’ll write embedded code, work with PCB design tools, and participate in hands-on lab tasks. Candidates are pursuing a related engineering degree, with hybrid scheduling and a chance to gain practical, cross-discipline experience.

Qualifications

• Students actively pursuing a related engineering degree.
• Some knowledge of embedded processors or FPGAs required, or PCB design knowledge.
• Hybrid/flexible scheduling possible; in-office presence may be required.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from a mentor and project manager on daily tasks.
• Write code for microprocessors (C, C++, Python, or other).
• Use Altium to create schematics and PCB layouts.
• Lab work to build or rework printed circuit boards.
• Test circuits with equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
