Job summary

Career Movement is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer based in Los Angeles for a manufacturing technology company whose software platform runs inside factories building rockets, electric aircraft, autonomous vehicles, and defense systems.

You will be embedded at customer facilities in the LA area roughly two days per week and work from the El Segundo office the rest of the time, building production-quality, full-stack software and presenting to executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience owning both technical delivery and client relationships.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge, PostgreSQL preferred.
• Full-stack development with production deployments.
• Ability to present and problem-solve in front of executive stakeholders.
• Degree in CS/Engineering/Math/Physics/Data Science or equivalent.
• Consulting or customer-embedded engineering background is a strong plus.
• Experience in aerospace/defense/robotics/advanced manufacturing valued but not required.

Responsibilities

• Embedded at customer facilities in the LA area approximately two days per week, and in the company office the rest of the time.
• Write production-quality, full-stack software for customers.
• Present and engage with executive-level stakeholders to solve real problems.
• Build custom software solutions that address operational challenges for clients.
