Job summary

V2X Inc is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join the Embedded Solutions team. You will handle FPGA logic, RTL design, and high‑speed interfaces for defense/aerospace applications, collaborating across hardware and firmware teams in an Agile environment.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in FPGA design, strong VHDL/Verilog skills, and experience with toolchains like Vivado or Quartus. U.S. citizenship is required. DoD clearance may be required on certain projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Approximately 2–5 years of FPGA/digital logic experience.
• Proficiency in VHDL and/or Verilog for synthesizable RTL design.
• Experience with major FPGA toolchains for synthesis and bitstream generation.
• Experience with lab troubleshooting and board bring-up using test equipment.
• Familiarity with version control (Git, Azure DevOps).
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and validate FPGA logic using VHDL/Verilog for modern FPGA platforms.
• Develop and integrate FPGA-based interfaces and processing pipelines for high-speed I/O.
• Create and run simulation testbenches and assist debug with waveform analysis.
• Contribute to timing constraints development and timing closure with senior engineers.
• Support hardware bring-up, board verifications, and lab troubleshooting.
