Job summary

Craig Technologies in Houston, TX is seeking an Embedded Software / Flight Software Engineer to design, implement, and verify core flight software for satellites in cis lunar and lunar orbits, delivering high-reliability, deterministic code and autonomous fault recovery.

You will develop drivers, analyze I/O timing, and coordinate with hardware teams for avionics integration, draft tests, and support HWIL and simulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–10 years in embedded flight systems.
• 5–10 years of C/C++ in bare-metal/RTOS/embedded Linux.
• Experience with hardware/software integration and debugging.
• Familiarity with RS-232/422/485 and IP networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain embedded flight software features.
• Analyze and test I/O timing and data throughput.
• Coordinate HW/SW integration with avionics and bring-up activities.
• Draft automated unit, integration, and regression tests for flight logic.
• Coordinate testing on HWIL setups and simulators, and support autonomous FDIR.
