Job summary

DCS Corp is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support multi-year F/A-18 aircraft software projects for the U.S. Marine Corps and FMS customers.

The role focuses on software engineering across the full lifecycle, including requirements, design, coding, testing and integration, with emphasis on communicating effectively within cross-functional teams in government and contractor environments.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 2+ years of related experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Self-guided, inquisitive and able to research, learn and work in a large code base.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues.

Responsibilities

• Software engineering life-cycle activities for new, evolving and sustainment projects.
• Perform requirements development, analysis, design, coding, unit testing and system integration.
• Participate in peer reviews to uphold best practices in code and architecture.
• Interface with an Integrated Product Team including gov't and contractor leadership.
• Integrate software with external components and develop code in assembly language for embedded environments.
