Job summary

Echodyne is seeking a TEST ENGINEER II to focus on embedded firmware. You will design and execute tests for radar firmware and SDKs, including manual, exploratory, and hardware-in-the-loop testing across complex embedded systems.

Collaborate with firmware, product, and software teams to improve testability and quality, while building automated tests and maintaining test plans and reports.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software testing, firmware QA, or embedded systems test experience.
• Experience validating feature-level behavior, device commands, and SDK interactions.
• Solid testing principles and techniques for embedded systems.
• Experience with test automation and writing automated tests (Python preferred).
• Experience with hardware/software dependencies, flashing firmware, and interacting with devices.
• Knowledge of Linux, Git workflows, and CI/CD for embedded systems.
• Understanding of development practices, debugging, root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain test scenarios for embedded systems, radar firmware, and SDKs.
• Analyze requirements and contribute to test strategies, coverage, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports; manage defects.
• Perform manual, exploratory, and hardware-in-the-loop testing to identify risks.
• Build and maintain automated tests where value is added.
• Collaborate with firmware, product, and software teams to improve testability.
• Support test environments, automation infrastructure, and test execution.
• Promote strong testing practices and participate in code reviews.
