Job summary

Hydro BioScience, LLC is seeking a seasoned Firmware Design Engineer responsible for the development, maintenance, and organization of firmware used in Infineon XMC Family embedded processor designs. The ideal candidate will have experience in ANSI-C, C++, and various communication protocols like SPI and CANbus.

Located in the Tri-Cities, TN area, the role involves working closely with a team of engineers, managing firmware documentation, and providing regular progress reports to management. Candidates should have a strong educational background in Electrical Engineering and at least 2 years of programming experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post‑secondary education in Software/Computer and/or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years programming experience.
• Proven background working with communication protocols including SPI, CANbus, UART.

Responsibilities

• Development of ANSI-C / C++ / and Assembler based firmware for Arm Cortex‑M processor family.
• Design, prototype, debug digital circuitry with analog A/D inputs.
• Work with a team of mechanical/electrical engineers to plan product development.
• Drive selection and integration of I/O interface hardware, chipsets, and communication protocols.
• Manage and document code, code revisions, code development plans.
• Provide management with weekly progress reports and improvement updates.
