Job summary

Jobot in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Embedded Engineer to design, develop, and support embedded systems powering our industrial products from concept through full production. You will work with a talented engineering team on real-world technologies.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in embedded systems, and strong C/C++ programming, plus hands-on experience with hardware/software integration, system testing, and debugging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year institution
• 5+ years of embedded systems background (required)
• Proven experience in full-cycle product development
• Hands-on experience with hardware/software integration, system-level testing, performance tuning, and embedded debugging tools
• Strong programming proficiency in C or C-based languages
• Working knowledge of IDE toolchains including compiler, linker, assembler, and loader
• Experience with serial communication protocols such as RS-485, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, and UART
• Ability to read and interpret microprocessor/component datasheets and manufacturer application notes
