Job summary

Jobot is seeking a passionate Embedded Android Software Engineer in San Francisco for a permanent role, offering great pay and growth. You will design, develop, and implement embedded software for Android devices, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external data sources to deliver features and performance improvements.

The candidate will work with QCM, QCS, and QCOM tools, drive CTS/VTS/GTS compliance, and ensure code quality and scalability across the mobile stack.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, specifically with Android and embedded systems.
  • Strong knowledge of QCM, QCS, Linux Kernel, Java, and Python.
  • Proven experience driving CTS/VTS/GTS compliance.
  • Experience with Android HALs and QCOM tools.
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement embedded software for Android devices.

  • Work with outside data sources and APIs.
  • Utilize QCM, QCS, and QCOM tools to ensure optimal performance of devices.

  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
