Advanced Energy is seeking a Firmware Engineer in Eden Prairie, MN, to design and refine embedded software for power electronics and ARM-based systems. You will work with hardware, electrical, and software engineers to troubleshoot issues, review designs, and develop comprehensive documentation.

The role requires deep embedded C skills, experience with UART/SPI/I2C, and a strong interest in electrical, embedded development.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Computer/Electrical/Software fields with strong academics.
• Embedding C expertise, debugging, and knowledge of microcontrollers.
• Experience with UART/SPI/I2C serial protocols and power electronics concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, and evaluate embedded software for power supply or ARM-based systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across cross-functional teams.
• Develop and review design specifications, test plans, and documentation.
• Collaborate with hardware, electrical, and software teams to ensure project success.
• Participate in code reviews to improve stability and maintainability.
