Job summary

Sunrise Systems designs and develops embedded firmware for current and new product lines. The role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing embedded software, with documentation such as firmware descriptions, flow charts, and block diagrams as required.

Responsibilities include design optimization with internal/external teams, creating rigorous test protocols, supporting other departments' software requests, and reviewing returned products to implement preventive or corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of embedded firmware development experience.
• Experience with PIC, ARM, and Cortex architectures.
• Familiar with digital communications protocols (Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth, 802.11x, 802.15.4) and CAD/debugging tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external resources to optimize designs.
• Plan and execute test protocols to verify product requirements.
• Support software requests from other departments.
• Assist in product returns review and implement preventive or corrective actions.
• Apply logic, analysis, and experience to make timely engineering decisions.
