Job summary

New York Technology Partners is seeking a Systems Reliability Engineer to own the reliability, resiliency, and observability of a large-scale Embedded Finance platform. The role covers on-call, incident response, RCA, and driving continuous improvements across monitoring, SLOs/SLIs and automation.

You will design and implement end-to-end observability using Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana and Datadog, lead incident response, and collaborate with risk, product, and engineering teams to raise platform

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with monitoring, observability and alerting tools: Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, and Datadog.
• Proven experience operating and supporting a large-scale enterprise platform environment.
• Experience with incident response and leading or contributing to RCA processes.
• Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles (availability, resiliency, monitoring, alerting).
• Experience with ticketing and incident management workflows (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Excellent cross-team communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, resiliency, and availability of the Embedded Finance platform.
• Design and maintain monitoring and alerting frameworks across the platform using Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana and Datadog.
• Define and track SLOs, SLIs and error budgets to measure platform health.
• Lead and participate in incident response and RCA processes.
• Manage incident tickets and reporting (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Build automation to reduce toil and improve MTTD/MTTR.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and risk stakeholders to embed reliability practices.
