Job summary

Nuvoton Technology Corporation America is seeking a Field Application Engineer in Livonia, MI to serve as the technical bridge between Nuvoton and customers, supporting hardware design, evaluation, and production ramp across MCU/MPU portfolios.

You will combine hands‑on embedded hardware experience with strong communication skills to influence decisions across OEMs, distributors, and internal teams, traveling across North America as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years embedded hardware development or field applications engineering experience.
• Minimum 3 years hardware design experience including schematic capture, PCB layout (Altium, Cadence, or equivalent), and bench‑level debugging.
• Experience with major MCU platforms and ecosystems is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital ICs, op‑amps, ADC/DAC, RTCs, bus switches, and DC‑DC power conversion.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for strategic customers during pre‑sales and post‑sales engagements, including evaluation, schematic review, PCB layout guidance, hardware bring‑up, and production ramp support.
• Lead board‑level debugging, root cause analysis, and system integration activities for customer platforms using oscilloscopes and analyzers.
• Analyze customer requirements and recommend MCU/MPU, PMIC, analog IC, and peripheral solutions based on application needs.
• Collaborate with sales, distributors, and internal engineering to troubleshoot issues, deliver demos, and lead design reviews to secure design wins.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, design reviews, and customer workshops to support deployments at OEM/ODM accounts.
• Develop and maintain technical collateral including application notes, reference designs, bring‑up guides, and troubleshooting docs.
• Capture field feedback on performance, feature gaps, and market trends, communicating insights to product and engineering teams.
• Support lab validation, hardware performance benchmarking, and failure analysis for customer platforms and internal evaluation boards.
