Job summary

University of Texas at Austin is seeking an Embedded Electronics and Robotics Engineering Associate at the Pickle Research Campus. The role focuses on the design and implementation of embedded electronics and robotics systems for the Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL).

You will work on sonar, radio, and navigation-related projects, developing hardware and real-time software with a strong emphasis on reliability and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• Experience in designing digital and analog electronics hardware and embedded software development.
• Hands-on electronics experience including soldering and wiring with common test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded electronics hardware with microcontrollers, A/D converters, and power supplies.
• Develop real-time signal processing algorithms and control on embedded hardware.
• Robotics electrical system design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Create documentation for hardware and software for ATL projects.
• Participate in data collection, management and analysis.
• Support equipment installation and testing in field locations.
• Perform other related functions as assigned.
