Job summary

Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking an Embedded Electronics Engineer (Hardware) to develop hardware for new and existing electronics. This role reports to the Electronics Engineering Manager and participates in innovation across consumer products.

You’ll design and troubleshoot hardware, implement embedded drivers, test prototypes, and collaborate with software and hardware teams to enable interoperability with mobile apps and PCs. The successful candidate will hold a B.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuitry, PCB layout, and schematics reading.
• Experience with embedded microarchitectures and ARM MCUs.
• Ability to design and troubleshoot serial interfaces (RS232/RS485/SPI/I2C/USB/Ethernet).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to develop hardware for consumer products.
• Design and implement hardware abstractions and embedded drivers for high‑level applications.
• Evaluate and test prototype hardware designs for correctness and suitability.
• Apply engineering principles to diverse projects and build test plans and automated tests.
• Support interoperability with mobile applications and PC software.
