Leggett & Platt Incorporated is seeking an Embedded Electronics Engineer (Hardware) to develop hardware for new and existing electronics. This role reports to our Electronics Engineering Manager and supports innovation across our sleep‑industry products.

If you enjoy bringing hardware designs to life with blinking LEDs and moving parts, this is a role that blends design, testing and troubleshooting across hardware and software teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE or CE, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuitry and PCB layout.
• Experience reading schematics and component data sheets.
• Experience with embedded microarchitectures and ARM MCUs.
• Experience with serial interfaces (RS232, RS485, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet).
• Familiarity with electronic test equipment and debugging.
• Ability to work with cross-functional hardware/software teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with software and hardware engineers to develop and troubleshoot hardware.
• Design hardware abstractions and embedded drivers to support applications.
• Evaluate and test prototype hardware designs for correctness.
• Apply engineering principles to diverse projects and build test plans.
