Job summary

Actalent in the United States is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team that develops electronic and embedded products in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

You will design electronic circuits, develop embedded firmware, and partner with customers and internal teams to bring concepts through production. The role combines hardware and software disciplines with a focus on reliable, producible designs.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in electronic engineering with a focus on embedded systems.
• Hands-on embedded systems experience with microprocessor- and microcontroller-based designs.
• Electronic hardware experience: circuit design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Programming for embedded systems in Embedded C and C++.
• PCB design with schematic capture and layout.
• Experience with circuit simulation tools to model designs.
• Prototype development, testing, and validation for product introduction and refinement.
• Experience supporting products from concept through production, including design iteration and launch support.
• Ability to collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to define requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic circuits for embedded and computer-related products, ensuring reliable performance and manufacturability.
• Develop, test, and maintain firmware for microprocessor-based and embedded systems.
• Collaborate with customers to define product requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Build, troubleshoot, and refine prototypes throughout the development process.
• Support the development and implementation of product testing methods, test equipment, and validation procedures.
• Assist in the design and construction of demonstration units and proof-of-concept models.
• Develop manufacturing quality standards and detailed product specifications.
• Utilize CAD tools for circuit simulation, schematic capture, and PCB design.
• Lead or support small-scale engineering projects from concept through production release.
• Partner with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to development activities within a manufacturing environment to optimize production and test.
• Apply DOE methodology to improve product performance and reliability.
