Job summary

PerkinElmer in Richmond, VA is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to provide onsite EHS support for customer labs and sites. You will coach employees, advance hazard reporting, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and customer requirements while leading risk assessments and incident investigations.

With 3+ years in a laboratory or regulated environment and a BA/BS in a safety-related field, you will apply JHA, perform audits, manage waste and PPE programs, and collaborate

Qualifications

• BA/BS in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, chemistry, biology, engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of EHS experience in a laboratory or similar regulated environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements applicable to laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite EHS representative; coach employees and promote hazard reporting.
• Ensure OSHA, EPA, state, PerkinElmer and customer compliance and conduct audits and investigations.
• Oversee hazardous waste compliance, PPE assessments, and respiratory protection and medical surveillance.
