Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety professional to provide EHS support to laboratory R&D operations in a fast-paced environment. You’ll engage in safety surveys, incident documentation, waste management, and lab readiness activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 1+ year of EHS or chemistry experience; OSHA 30/Hazwoper preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• 1+ year of EHS and/or Chemistry experience.
• OSHA 30 and Hazwoper 40 preferred.
• Able to identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions.
• Strong risk analysis and communication of risks.
• Able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monthly safety surveys; input data and track closures.
• Incident documentation and root cause analysis; follow-up actions.
• Problem solve and troubleshoot waste logistics.
• Verify Waste Stream Profiles and Waste Inventory accuracy.
• Ensure waste labels are correct and compliant.
• Assist in disposal of hazardous waste; lab clean outs.
• Hazard Review documentation and readiness for lab divisions.
• Participate in Tech Forum Lab Safety meetings and share EHS updates.
• Provide respirator fit tests and machine guarding assessments.
• Lab commissioning support and EHS readiness for moves/exits.
• Maintain communication with customer personnel.
