Job summary

PerkinElmer in Richmond, VA is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to provide dedicated EHS support at the customer's Center of Research and Technology. You will serve as the primary onsite EHS liaison, coach employees, promote hazard reporting, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state regulations, PerkinElmer programs, and customer requirements.

Qualifications

OSHA general industry standards and laboratory safety fundamentals are required.
Experience with risk assessment, inspections and incident investigations.
Strong training delivery and documentation abilities.
Onsite work in customer laboratories with PPE usage.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary onsite EHS representative; coach employees and promote hazard reporting.
Ensure OSHA, EPA, state and customer compliance; maintain documentation and conduct audits.
Support Chemical Hygiene Plans, Hazard Communication and biosafety programs.
Oversee hazardous waste management, labeling, storage and disposal; review monitoring results.
Coordinate EHS training and work with leadership to implement improvements.
