Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer (Drone Stack Team) to architect and field autonomy and vehicle intelligence systems on real platforms. You’ll join a collaborative team, perform end-to-end hardware‑software integration, and support live testing with embedded Linux, ROS-like stacks, and safety‑critical workflows.

Occasional travel and U.S. citizenship for security clearance are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Robotics, CS, or a related engineering discipline; 3+ years robotics experience.
Proficiency in modern C++ with Docker, Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL), Git, GitLab, and VS Code.
Hands-on integration of robotics with Pixhawk autopilots (ArduPilot/PX4) and buses: UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI/QSPI, I2C, Ethernet.
Experience with real-time, edge, safety-critical computing in SIL/HIL environments and strong communication skills.
Willingness to travel 10–20%; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

Architect and deploy autonomy capabilities on embedded Linux and compute platforms; integrate with sensors and data capture.
Collaborate with autonomy engineers to align software with hardware like autopilots and datalinks; build service-oriented software.
Lead system-level bring-up, test, and validation (SIL/HIL); participate in live UAV flight testing.
Diagnose and resolve complex software/integration issues to maintain performance.
Engage with DoD and third-party vendors to deploy autonomy software on OEM aircraft hardware.
