Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. seeks an Embedded DevOps Engineer Level 4 to define, design, and own end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines for missile programs in the Advanced Weapons Unit.

You will lead secure, scalable automation across multiple development streams and ensure compliance with DoD security requirements. The ideal candidate has deep DevSecOps expertise, hands-on embedded software experience, and the ability to collaborate with program managers and leadership.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 6–8 years of embedded software/hardware experience, preferably on safety-critical/defense platforms.
• Experience as a technical lead with cross-functional teams
• DevSecOps experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with GIT and Agile development, including metrics
• Embedded software development with RTOS such as VxWorks, FreeRTOS, or QNX

Responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for missile program codebases
• Develop and maintain pipeline automation scripts and build configurations
• Architect secure artifact repositories and version-control strategies
• Implement static analysis and vulnerability scanning within pipelines
• Collaborate with embedded engineers to tailor build/test processes for real-time, safety-critical apps
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teams
• Coordinate across networks/sites to standardize configurations
• Maintain documentation for audits and accreditation
