Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Northridge, CA is seeking a DevOps Engineer Level 2/3 to join our Advanced Weapons team. You will design end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for missile program codebases and craft secure, scalable automation across multiple streams.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance and hands-on experience with embedded software, C++, Python, and VxWorks, plus tools like Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, and Kubernetes. On-site only with strong security focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or STEM with 2+ years of experience; or Master’s with 0 years.
• Embedded systems experience with RTOS such as VxWorks, FreeRTOS, or QNX on Windows or Linux.
• Experience with Containers and Orchestration (Podman, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for missile program codebases.
• Develop and maintain pipeline automation scripts and build configurations (CMake, VisualStudio).
• Implement static analysis and vulnerability scanning within pipelines to enforce secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with embedded software engineers to tailor build/test processes for real-time, safety-critical apps.
• Coordinate across networks/sites to standardize pipeline configurations and security posture.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of pipeline architecture, build processes, and audits.
