Integrated Solutions for Systems, Inc. in Denver (Northglenn), CO, seeks an embedded software engineer to design and maintain software for embedded Linux and real-time systems on small unmanned systems. The role offers hybrid work and ownership of new embedded Linux solutions.

You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines, develop drivers for sensors, and optimize performance for devices with limited compute power and storage.

Formación

Description:

Architect and contribute software for embedded Linux and occasionally real-time systems and supporting infrastructure, focused on small Unmanned Systems (sUxS). The ideal candidate will be interested in taking ownership of new embedded Linux solutions, getting streamlined combined hardware/software systems, and/or developing computationally efficient code for processing data received from sensors and other hardware. In addition, they will support the development of supporting infrastructure, such as simulation software running on HPCs, static analysis and test tools, and aiding in the implementation of sensor fusion algorithms. The job will be a flexible hybrid work position based in our office in Denver (Northglenn), CO.

Job Role(s):

• Develop software and linux configuration for embedded, low-SWAP systems, including experience developing embedded Linux solutions and microcontroller firmware.

• Validate, test, and document new or existing code using CI/CD and end-to-end test.

• Develop drivers for sensors and other hardware systems, including low latency and precision time applications.

• Optimize code for deployment on devices with constrained computing power and storage.

Required Experience:

• Engineering or Computer Science degree

• A minimum of two years of professional software development experience required.

• Experience developing in modern C++, C is required and python is useful experience

• Knowledge of Git, Gitlab, or equivalent source control and CI/CD tools required.

• Experience developing for embedded Linux or POSIX systems.

• Experience working with microcontrollers.

Desired Experience:

• Knowledge of networking and distributed systems.

• Experience with GNSS receivers and other navigation systems/sensors.
