Job summary

ApTask is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer for a US-based role focused on real-time systems used in aerospace-grade environments. You will design, code, test, and support embedded software to meet stringent customer requirements and DO-178B/C standards.

You will work with C, C++, and Python, lead design reviews, and collaborate across teams to deliver robust solutions for safety-critical applications. A STEM degree and 10+ years of embedded development are required.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of DO-178B/DO-178C standard.
• Working knowledge of C, C++, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and provide ongoing support for embedded systems software to meet technical and customer requirements.
• Design and code based on low-level software requirements.
• Build, test, and deliver real-time embedded software to target environments in support of program and customer commitments.
• Assist with system-level testing, working closely with cross-functional areas to coordinate desired solutions, document problem reports, and support resolution activities.
• Participate in design and code reviews with other members of the team to identify and eliminate problems early in the development process.

• Knowledge of air/ground messaging and related data link protocols, including ARINC 429, ARINC 618, VDL Mode 2, TCP/IP, and
• ATN OSI, as well as aircrew human-machine interface design.
