**Position Title:**PT Coordinator - Embedded Course Support (ECS)**Campus:**East Peoria Campus**Employment Type:**Management, StaffPart time**Department:**Learning Labs**Start Date:**10/12/2026**Job Description:****Summary:**The Embedded Course Support (ECS) Coordinator coordinates the day-to-day implementation of embedded academic support initiatives, including Supplemental Instruction (SI), peer-led learning, and embedded tutoring. Under the direction of the Academic Support Center Manager, the coordinator supports the embedded tutor recruitment, training, and programmatic deployment of academic support services; and coordinates course-based support to promote student engagement, academic success, persistence, and retention. **Compensation for the Coordinator - Embedded Course Support (ECS) is $23.08-$25.97 an hour.** **This position will remain open until filled.** **Essential Functions:***This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.** Provide administrative and programmatic coordination for Embedded Course Support (ECS), including Supplemental Instruction (SI), embedded tutoring, peer-led learning, and other course-based academic support initiatives.* Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and monitoring of embedded support staff.* Coordinate the assignment of peer and embedded tutors to participating course sections and facilitate scheduling of SI sessions, embedded support activities, room reservations, and digital learning environments.* Serve as a primary point of contact for embedded course support-related faculty requests, student referrals, peer tutor needs, course assignments, and program logistics.* Coordinate the facilitation of training, professional development, workshops, and small-group learning activities related to embedded academic support initiatives* Collect, monitor and report data related to student participation, engagement, service utilization, and academic outcomes for Embedded Course Support initiatives.* Develop and administer surveys, assessment tools, observations, and feedback mechanisms to evaluate program effectiveness, peer tutor performance, and opportunities for continuous improvement.* Assist with the coordination and promotion of Academic Support Center programming, including peer-led learning sessions, student success workshops, course support activities, and academic skill development initiatives.* Monitor student engagement and participation trends and support persistence, retention, and early intervention strategies in collaboration with faculty, Student Success, and Academic Support Center staff.* Collaborate with Academic Support Center staff to support operational planning and align Embedded Course Support services with college priorities for student learning, success, persistence, and retention.* Maintain program files, procedures, guides, training materials, course resources, and peer educator resources using technology and learning management systems and shared drives.* Build and sustain collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, administrators, and campus partners to strengthen faculty engagement, expand course-based support, and promote Academic Support Center services.* Identify and recommend instructional resources, educational technology, and digital tools that enhance peer learning, embedded support, and program delivery.* Promote Embedded Course Support and increase campus awareness of Supplemental Instruction, embedded tutoring, peer education, and related Academic Support Center services through presentations, faculty outreach, student engagement, and promotional efforts.* Participate in professional development and remain informed of current practices in Supplemental Instruction, peer education, embedded tutoring, learning assistance, and academic support.* Know, understand, and demonstrate ICC’s core values: connect with students, own the situation, build relationships, go the extra mile, act professionally, and work as a team.* Perform related duties as required. **Minimum Qualifications:***The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.** Associate’s degree in education or a related field and two (2) years of experience in an educational, learning, or student support setting, or a related field.* Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, LMS, and scheduling platforms.* Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting tools.* Familiarity with supporting developmental or underprepared learners.* Strong verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to prioritize projects, multitask, and work independently or on a team.* Knowledge of Supplemental Instruction (SI), embedded tutoring, peer-led learning, and course-based academic support models and practice.* Knowledge of the principles and practices of student learning, peer education, academic support, and student persistence and retention strategies. **Preferred Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field* Prior experience coordinating schedules* Experience working in a community college environment* Experience working or participating in a Supplemental Instruction Program* Experience working in an academic learning center environment* Prior experience with public speaking, workshop and small group facilitation* Knowledge of academic support tracking systems
