Job summary

The University of Houston is seeking an Embedded Counselor within Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) to support the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM). The role provides individual, couples and group counseling, crisis intervention, and outreach to NSM students and the broader campus community, with supervision and collaboration across CAPS and NSM teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, couples and group counseling to students.
• Participates in development and delivery of support, outreach and consultation services.
• Performs initial assessment and on-call services with documentation and supervision.
• Performs clinical assessments and referrals as needed.
• Develops and conducts outreach seminars, workshops, and programs.
• Collaborates with campus departments to implement programs for the campus community.
• Assists in supervision and training of interns and graduate students in counseling.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
