Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Software Engineer to shape the SDN dataplane powering EC2 networking for ML, Cloud Gaming, and more.

You will own design, implementation, testing, and delivery of performance optimizations on the EC2 Nitro dataplane, working with senior engineers across AWS to drive scalable solutions. Applicants should have hands-on experience in embedded C/C++, dataplane development, and large-scale systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for large-scale systems.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience programming in at least one software language.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and deliver dataplane performance optimizations for EC2 Nitro.
• Own the end-to-end development of the SDN dataplane stack used by EC2 networking.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements.
• Set high standards for development processes, tools, and automation.
• Identify problems and advocate technical solutions that influence roadmaps.
