Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the design and delivery of performance- and reliability-focused dataplane features for the EC2 Nitro system.

You will influence architectures across cloud networking with direct impact on ML, gaming, health, fintech, and streaming workloads. We expect strong expertise in C/C++, embedded software, and distributed systems, plus leadership experience guiding design, reviews, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 7+ years of programming with at least one software language.
• 5+ years of leading design/architecture of systems.
• 7+ years of full software development life cycle.
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead.
• Experience in embedded development in C/C++.
• Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end design, scoping, implementation, and testing of performance optimizations and dataplane features on the EC2 Nitro System.
• Set high standards for development processes, tools, and automation.
• Own the team architecture and define best engineering practices on design and coding.
• Identify business problems and advocate for technical solutions influencing roadmaps.
• Mentor junior engineers in scoping, design, and scalable code.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Product Managers, Sr TPMs, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and architectures.
