Job summary

Rochester Institute of Technology's Counseling and Psychological Services (CaPS) is seeking a Staff Therapist for an embedded 11-month, part-time position within GCCIS. You will provide individual counseling to GCCIS students, offer consultation to faculty and staff, participate in prevention, outreach and crisis response initiatives, and contribute to campus wellbeing.

The role requires licensure within one year of start date and CV/cover letter describing your interest in providing counseling

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is required.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience.
• Professional licensure in CSW/LMFT/LMHC or eligible within one year of hire.
• Licensure and diagnostic privilege within one year when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual and group therapy sessions tailored to students.
• Performs crisis intervention and intake assessments for treatment plans.
• Develops and delivers mental health outreach and educational programs.
• Provides didactic training to graduate trainees and new therapists.
• Maintains accurate clinical documentation and participates in team meetings.
• Collaborates with campus stakeholders to promote holistic wellness.
• Other duties as assigned.
