Job summary

Proception Inc. seeks an Embedded Camera Systems Engineer to build and bring up low-level camera systems and imaging pipelines across MIPI CSI-2, ISPs, and embedded SoCs. You will work at the hardware-kernel-perception boundary on multi-camera deployments.

You will gain hands-on experience with RK3588/Jetson Orin platforms, sensor drivers, and calibration workflows while collaborating with hardware and perception teams to deliver robust, real-time imaging solutions.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong experience with embedded Linux camera stacks (V4L2, Media Controller, libcamera).
• Hands‑on experience bringing up MIPI CSI-2 cameras on SoCs such as RK3588 or Jetson Orin.
• Understanding of MIPI CSI-2, D‑PHY / C‑PHY, lane configurations, and bandwidth constraints.
• Experience with camera sensor drivers, device tree configuration, and kernel debugging.
• Proficiency in Rust and C/C++ for embedded systems and kernel‑adjacent development.
• Experience with camera calibration (intrinsics, extrinsics, stereo, multi‑camera rigs).
• Comfortable working with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and hardware bring‑up tools.
• Strong Linux fundamentals (drivers, DMA, memory, interrupts, power management).

Responsibilities

• Bring up and validate MIPI CSI-2 camera sensors on RK3588, Jetson Orin, and custom boards.
• Develop and debug camera sensor drivers, ISP pipelines, and device tree configurations.
• Integrate RGB, stereo, and depth cameras into real-time perception pipelines.
• Design and support multi-camera synchronization and hardware triggering strategies.
• Work with FPGA-based camera bridges or aggregators when needed.
• Implement and maintain camera calibration pipelines (mono, stereo, multi-view).
• Optimize throughput, latency, and stability for high-resolution and multi-camera systems.
• Collaborate with perception, SLAM, and hardware teams to ensure end-to-end reliability.
• Support manufacturing test, validation, and field diagnostics for camera subsystems.
