Qualifications

• Student working toward a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with C or C++ programming and embedded applications is desired.
• Familiarity with CAN and the J1939 protocol is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are important.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Write quality, maintainable, object-oriented C++ software.
• Develop and maintain PC programs used for configuring truck-specific programming.
• Identify and control vehicle operation and maintenance risks.
• Prepare and maintain software documentation for truck configuration.
• Test truck-specific programming to ensure it operates as specified.
• Participate in peer reviews and other engineering activities.
