Job summary
Ultra Cyber, a division of Ultra Intelligence & Communications, is seeking an Embedded Rust Software Engineer 2 in Tampa, FL. The successful candidate will contribute to embedded Rust software across security-critical platforms, with some travel (~5%) for customer meetings and off-site testing.
Relocation assistance is available. Responsibilities include converting C to Rust, designing architectures, and creating SRS/IRS/ICDs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/CE or equivalent.
- 2+ years of embedded software experience with C to Rust.
- Experience with embedded processors and SoC development.
- Direct integration with ARM-based systems interacting with firmware.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of embedded software from C to Rust.
- Perform trade studies and architecture development for Rust.
- Define unit, integration, and acceptance test plans.
- Perform configuration management for software items.
- Support Agile and Waterfall development projects.
- Provide written and oral progress updates.
- Drive process/tool improvements and quality initiatives.
