Job summary

Percepta is seeking an Embedded Research Scientist to advance AI research and deliver real-world impact for customers. You will work on post-training, reinforcement learning, agentic modeling, and specialized architectures, translating breakthroughs into production systems.

You will be embedded with customers, designing research strategies, iterating quickly based on field feedback, and partnering with Embedded Product Managers and Applied AI Engineers to ensure measurable value and production

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Computer Science, ML or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Deep knowledge of LLM and ML fundamentals.
• Experience building and debugging large-scale ML systems.
• Ability to work directly with customers to translate problems into research.
• Proven track record of executing research that translates to production value.

Responsibilities

• Identify high-impact research problems with customers at the intersection of frontier AI and business needs.
• Design and execute research strategies in LLM post-training, RL, agentic modeling, and specialized models.
• Prototype and scale training pipelines and experiment with architectures and optimization techniques.
• Conduct customer-facing evaluations at scale showing business value and adoption of AI in production.
• Translate research outcomes into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Applied AI Engineers to turn research into production-ready Mosaic features.
• Build trusted relationships with customer teams and executives.
