We are seeking an experienced B2B Email Marketing Manager to lead and manage end-to-end email marketing campaigns for a growing organization in a regulated professional-services industry. This hands-on role combines email production, B2B audience development, marketing automation, quality assurance, stakeholder management, campaign strategy, and performance reporting.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of email marketing experience, including direct B2B marketing experience, and can independently manage multiple campaigns and requests from intake through deployment. This person will serve as a key partner to marketing and cross-functional stakeholders while maintaining high standards for accuracy, compliance, timeliness, deliverability, and recipient experience.
What You’ll Do
Campaign & Stakeholder Management
- Own and manage assigned B2B email marketing campaigns and requests from intake through final deployment.
- Manage campaign status, documentation, deadlines, approvals, and next steps in a project-management platform.
- Review requests for complete audience details, content, sender information, timing, calls to action, creative assets, and approvals.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, establish timelines, and resolve open items.
- Communicate campaign progress, delivery risks, delays, and required actions throughout the campaign lifecycle.
- Coordinate with marketing, sales, operations, technology, legal, compliance, and other internal teams as needed.
- Manage multiple concurrent campaigns while prioritizing projects based on business needs and deadlines.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to stakeholders on B2B email best practices, audience strategy, messaging, and campaign execution.
Email Development & B2B Audience Management
- Build, manage, and prepare B2B email creative using drag-and-drop email-building tools and marketing automation platforms.
- Configure campaign settings, including subject lines, preview text, sender details, links, calls to action, images, personalization, and dynamic content.
- Use HTML and CSS to make routine adjustments and troubleshoot email-formatting issues.
- Build and validate B2B campaign audiences using CRM and marketing automation data.
- Create static and dynamic lists using approved segmentation, inclusion, exclusion, and suppression criteria.
- Develop targeted audiences based on customer attributes, account information, engagement, lifecycle stage, industry, role, geography, and other approved criteria.
- Review audience counts, subscription preferences, unsubscribes, bounces, and recipient eligibility before deployment.
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to support lead-generation, lead-nurturing, customer engagement, and retention initiatives.
Quality Assurance & Approvals
- Conduct detailed QA of copy, formatting, links, images, personalization, disclosures, dynamic content, and campaign settings.
- Test emails across common desktop and mobile email environments.
- Validate destination pages, sender details, audience criteria, and suppression logic.
- Send test emails, coordinate reviews, track revisions, and confirm required approvals.
- Complete final pre-deployment checks before scheduling campaigns.
- Maintain high standards for accuracy, consistency, brand alignment, and compliance across all communications.
Compliance, Deployment & Reporting
- Apply established email-marketing standards and maintain working knowledge of CAN-SPAM requirements and B2B email compliance considerations.
- Recognize legal, privacy, regulatory, or compliance considerations and escalated nonstandard requests appropriately.
- Schedule and deploy approved campaigns according to established procedures and timelines.
- Verify final audiences, exclusions, approvals, sender details, and send settings before deployment.
- Monitor completed sends and investigate routine delivery or recipient issues.
- Maintain campaign documentation and close completed requests.
- Review campaign performance metrics, including delivery, bounce, open, click-through, and unsubscribe rates.
- Analyze campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement, deliverability, audience targeting, and overall campaign effectiveness.
- Communicate performance insights and recommendations to marketing and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing, B2B marketing, marketing automation, digital marketing, or a related field.
- Proven B2B email marketing experience, preferably supporting professional services, financial services, technology, or other complex B2B organizations.
- Experience managing email campaigns from requirements gathering through deployment and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple campaigns, stakeholders, timelines, reviews, and approvals.
- Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms, preferably Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement.
- Experience using drag-and-drop email-building platforms such as Beefree or similar tools.
- Experience creating emails, building segmented B2B audiences, managing lists, testing, and deploying campaigns.
- Strong understanding of B2B audience segmentation, personalization, suppression, list hygiene, deliverability, subscription preferences, and unsubscribe management.
- Experience with Monday.com or a comparable work-management platform.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for email production and troubleshooting.
- Strong quality-assurance skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent requests.
- Working knowledge of CAN-SPAM requirements and sound judgment regarding compliance escalation.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, project-management, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, professional services, or another regulated B2B industry.
- Experience developing and managing automated nurture programs, lifecycle campaigns, and journey-building tools.
- Experience partnering with sales teams on lead nurturing, lead generation, customer communications, or account-based marketing initiatives.
- Familiarity with A/B testing, campaign optimization, and performance analysis.
- Experience troubleshooting email rendering and deliverability issues.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Account Engagement (Pardot), or comparable marketing automation platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
