Nanoscience Instruments is seeking an outgoing Application Scientist to support our electron microscopy solutions, including SEM/EDS, ion milling, and software-driven automation. You will interface with customers to demonstrate and educate on EM capabilities while driving automation with Python.

The role involves collaborating with marketing and product teams, delivering technical presentations at events, and providing post-sales training and troubleshooting.

Qualificações

• Education: Minimum BS; MS or PhD preferred, in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science or Engineering or related area
• Experience: Hands on proficiency with Scanning Electron Microscopy, EDS/EDX, and Python
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally approx.: 30-50%
• Certification/Licensure: This position requires access to Government, Military, and other high security labs. Current US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency (Green Card) is strictly required

Responsabilidades

• Partner closely with account managers to provide technical expertise for sales in the USA and Canada through customer consultations, product demonstrations, and sample evaluations
• Develop and optimize solutions to address customer needs, including automated workflows where appropriate
• Represent Nanoscience Instruments through technical presentations and live demonstrations at conferences, trade shows, and workshops
• Perform installations and customer training as assigned, covering both instrument operation and fundamental concepts to ensure customer success
• Provide post-sales customer support including advanced instrument training, workflow optimization, and application-level troubleshooting
