Qualifications

• Strong Oracle PL/SQL development, including performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience in Banner customizations, extensions, and support.
• Exposure to Azure cloud environments and API-based integrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Banner customizations and extensions in Ellucian Banner 9 (forms, workflows, reports).
• Design, develop, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Work with development tools like Oracle SQL Developer or TOAD for debugging.
• Collaborate with functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support Banner module configurations, focusing on the Student module.
• Participate in unit and integration testing and defect resolution.
• Develop and support integrations with third-party and cloud systems using REST and SOAP web services.
• Work with Azure-based services for integrations, deployments, or DevOps activities.
• Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

We are looking for a Banner Developer with 4 to 6 years of experience in Ellucian Banner ERP and strong PL/SQL development skills. The role involves working on Banner customizations, enhancements, and integrations while collaborating with global teams and higher education clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain customizations and extensions in Ellucian Banner 9 (including forms, workflows, and reports).
• Design, develop, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Work with tools such as Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar for development and debugging.
• Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Support Banner module configurations and customizations, with a focus on the Student module.
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution.
• Develop and support integrations with third-party and cloud-based systems using REST APIs, SOAP web services, and tools like Postman.
• Work with Azure-based services for integrations, deployments, or DevOps activities.
• Ensure code quality, performance tuning, and adherence to best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ellucian Banner 9, preferably in the Student module (HR/Payroll, Finance, or Financial Aid experience is a plus).
• Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, including performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience in Banner customizations, extensions, and support.
• Exposure to Azure cloud environments (App Services, Integration Services, or DevOps pipelines).
• Understanding of API-based integrations (REST/SOAP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work in a global delivery model (including overlap with US time zones).

Good to have Skills

• Experience with Ellucian Page Builder and/or DegreeWorks.
• Familiarity with Banner 9 architecture, Ethos Integration, or middleware tools.
• Knowledge of other higher education ERP systems.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
