Job summary

Wachusett Regional School District in Jefferson, MA is seeking an English Language Tutor (ELL Tutor) to support multilingual learners. The role involves small-group and individual instruction, collaboration with ESL/Content teachers, and data-informed planning. Immediate start with a 30-hour week across a 10-month school year.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree (or ParaPro), with preferredBachelor’s in Education/TESOL and relevant literacy experience in K–12 settings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, 48 college credits or passing score on ParaPro assessment required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s in Education, TESOL, or related field.
• Massachusetts DESE ESL/SEI endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide explicit language support in small groups and one-on-one.
• Collaborate with ESL and content teachers to align tutoring with instruction.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with families in a culturally responsive manner.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in district PD.
