Job summary

Washington Elementary School District is seeking staff to administer standardized English language proficiency assessments for listening, speaking, reading and writing. The role includes assisting teachers in classroom activities and providing materials and guidance to students during group and individual tasks.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and fluency in English. One year of related experience is preferred, with priority given to candidates familiar with testing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience with student testing or similar assessments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts standardized English language proficiency assessments for reading, writing, listening and speaking with students at assigned schools.
• Maintains a testing log and records proficiency using scoring rubrics.
• Records testing data and submits pre-score reports to certified staff for review.
• Works with students individually or in small groups on projects and assignments to aid learning.
• Coordinates testing schedule and room setup, including arranging tables, chairs and materials.
• Assists teachers in planning and providing feedback on lesson plans and student progress.
• Ensures compliance with State and Federal laws for English Learners, including audits and small group testing.
